Crossing Your Jordan
by Jym Wells 11/04/09
There was a time a few years back I decided I was going to study the book of Joshua. So I sat out on the journey… However after 18 months I only got through Joshua 1: 17 however I found something there that changed my life and hope maybe it can help someone else with a problem. More »
My Thoughts About Doing The Lords Work
by Jym Wells
I do not know how to say this it seems that people just do not care. Well for the Christians that might read this. Have you every read about the United States of America in the Bible? For 2009 years 9 months 25 days people have been preaching Gods word. My man Peter started it and it is still going to this day. However if man gets involved in it then some how God gets left out of it, for the most part it seems anyway. More »
IRAN CONS HILLARY ON NUKES
By Dick Morris
Published on TheHill.com on October 20, 2009
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has fallen for Iran’s line that it is not developing nuclear weapons, but only wants the ability to develop one to achieve its place in the sun among the great nations of the earth.
In an interview on a Sunday show and in a leak in The New York Times that seems to have come from her (since it uses the same language), she notes that “there’s a small space for doubt [about Iran's intention to build a bomb] because there are some contrary indicators. There is no doubt in my mind that they want nuclear energy and nuclear power, which they are entitled to, to be able to use it for peaceful purposes. The real problem is once you do that and you get what’s called a breakout capacity, it’s not long before you could do the other [build a bomb]. So that’s why this is so important to address now.” More »

Protecting Obama’s Image
by Oliver North
The U.S. dollar isn’t the only currency headed to new lows. After months of drifting along in “the winds of change,” America’s diplomatic credibility is sinking alongside the greenback. The Obama White House and the so-called mainstream media — preoccupied with hoopla over “health care reform,” meaningless drivel about the 2016 Olympics and the vacuous award of a Nobel Peace Prize — barely have noticed the water flooding into our ship of state. Unfortunately, the Iranians, North Koreans, Russians and the Taliban all have been paying attention. Don’t count on any of them to help bail out our boat. More »

To assure its passage after years of frustrated efforts, Democratic supporters attached the measure to a must-pass $680 billion defense policy bill the Senate approved 68-29.

Massive FBI Raid on Islamic Slaughterhouse Mystifies Tiny Illinois Town
Thursday, October 22, 2009
By Joseph Abrams
Kinsman, Illinois, a rural community of 109 residents, was baffled when the FBI launched a massive raid on a Muslim butcher shop on the outskirts of town.
At 8 a.m. Sunday the population of Kinsman, Ill., stood at 109. An hour later it nearly doubled, as upwards of 100 federal agents and police swooped in on the tiny, rural community. And no one seems to know why.
The law enforcement officers, including FBI agents, immigration officials and state police, surrounded an Islamic meat plant in Kinsman, cordoning off the area and briefly detaining the plant’s handful of employees.
The FBI isn’t saying much, and the county sheriff is mum too, leaving Kinsman’s residents mystified. The bust, in a town that has no local police force, involved dozens of vehicles, a pair of snipers and a helicopter flying overhead, witnesses said — but it ended without even a single arrest. More »
Pay Czar’s Move to Cut Salaries Raises Questions About Limits of Authority
Under authority granted by Congress through legislation passed in February, Kenneth Feinberg has decided to order pay cuts for the top 25 earners at the firms that received the most aid from the $700 billion Wall Street rescue package. Though the move raises legal questions, it may be tough for the firms to resist. More »
The Grating Communicator
by Ann Coulter
The Obama administration has attacked Fox News in order to prevent government corruption stories broken on Fox from bleeding into the other media, which are all-consumed with daily updates on Levi Johnston’s Playgirl spread and Carrie Prejean’s breast implants.
That’s understandable. But I think the administration should have picked someone other than David Axelrod to deliver the claim that Fox News is “not really news,” inasmuch as Axelrod was behind the leak of scurrilous allegations in Jack Ryan’s sealed divorce papers when he was running for a Senate seat against Obama. Talk about vicious personal gossip. More »
Andy Rooney said on ‘60 Minutes’ a few weeks back:
Surprised CBS let him get away with this even though he’s right!
Right on, Andy Rooney !
Andy Rooney said on ‘60 Minutes’ a few weeks back:
I don’t think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens.Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.
Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game. More »
My #1 Way to Profit as Wall Street Destroys Capitalism
|Dear Fellow Conservative,
What if you discovered that the vet who takes care of your dog was Michael Vick? Would you think twice about bringing Fido back for his annual shots?
Or what if you discovered that your auto mechanic was a member of Greenpeace? Would you think twice about having him work on your SUV?
Of course you would. Just as, I hope, you would think twice about trusting your retirement savings to someone who secretly despised — or simply didn’t understand — the free-market capitalist system that makes profits and prosperity possible.
Yet that, believe it or not, is exactly the position millions of Americans are finding themselves in today — as they discover that Wall Street, far from being a stronghold of “rich Republicans” and “laissez-faire capitalists,” is actually dominated by liberal Democrats who support, overwhelmingly, the prosperity-wrecking big-government policies of Barack Obama and his merry band of neo-socialists.
Think I’m exaggerating? Consider the following facts and statistics:
What’s this all about? Well, you see, the financial industry takes care of Democrats — and as we’ve seen in recent months, the Democrats take care of the financial industry. After all, it’s a lot easier to get rich by taking money from taxpayers than to do it by choosing consistently profitable investments for your clients.
Fortunately, there is someone who can help you invest your money who is as financially savvy and devoted to the free-market system as today’s Wall Streeters are financially illiterate and devoted to shaking down taxpayers.
His name is Mark Skousen, Ph.D., editor of the investment newsletter Forecasts & Strategies — and he just might be the smartest financial advisor working today.
Skousen, after all, launched his career by predicting, during the 1980-82 recession — and to the scornful laughter of nearly all the other so-called experts — that “Reaganomics will work.”
Boy, did he get that right. And boy, has he gotten it right ever since:
It’s because of calls like these, after nearly 30 years of publication, Forecasts & Strategies is still going strong, while literally hundreds of rival newsletters have gone the way of Janeane Garofalo’s acting career.
And here’s the best thing about Mark Skousen. He knows how to make you money even while President Obama is wrecking the economy with his “New New Deal.”
After all, Dr. Skousen points out, the late billionaire John Templeton — whom Money magazine called “the greatest stock-picker of the 20th century” — began to build his vast fortune while FDR was wrecking the economy with his original New Deal.
Let’s face it: Making money in Obama’s America is about to get harder — keeping it, harder still. So we can all use as much trustworthy financial advice as we can get. The best investment advice I know of, bar none, can be found in Mark Skousen’s Forecasts & Strategies — and I urge you, now more than ever, to give it a try.
